Visitors get to know aspects of the cultural diversity that Cape Town has to offer on our interactive guided walk through the working harbour of Hout Bay with a mini shopping safari. Our focus lies on the Cape fishing community how the fishing industry has changed and how this has affected the Hout Bay fishing community, its culture, its community and its food.

The mini shopping safari, which stops at the local fish shop to choose the ingredients for the cooking session to follow, offers opportunities to interact with locals and to discover typical ingredients.
The highlight is to visit a local family’s home and participate in a hands-on, fun-filled cooking session & demonstration before savouring a traditional Cape seafood lunch!
