Our host will shape dough to make focaccia bread for us, sharing her secrets of success to this ancient and universal art.
While the bread bakes, we get to enjoy a fascinating talk on the art of making charcuterie (cured meats) with the estate’s chef. We will learn about making different salamis, dried sausages and hams. With a bit of luck, the chef may just share his secrets of making the well-known South African cured meat known as "biltong"! He will also punctuate this entertaining session with a bit of history behind these different types of charcuterie.
We will taste some fine wine, meats and the piping hot bread made during the baking session with our host.
